The main idea of Sooners and Texas Decide Big 12 Fate article is to inform the readers that the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma hold the Big 12s fate in their hands. The connotation of the purpose is negative because the Big 12 will no longer be a conference if they leave. The authors viewpoint is that the University’s of Oklahoma and Texas hold the fate of the big 12 in there decision, other might think they don’t the hold the fate of their conference. Those two University’s hold the fate of the conference because if Texas and Oklahoma leave to go the Pac 12 then the Big 12 will be no more and the all the other University’s will have to find a new conference for the start of the next year.
